The Com, Print-shop, Carpenter-

shop, and surounding area.

The road by the Com, past the print-shop… etc. OK, so after having seen the area around the post-office, we walked back to the road junction where it is possible to go down towards the hangar (past Barkman’s house), or towards the car-shed, or towards what used to be “The Com”. The first picture is a 120 degree swipe from this road junction, showing on the left the back side of the post-office, middle “The Com”, and to the right the “gas-shed”. I have fond memories of hanging out by the commissary on Saturdays, telling stories and having my weekly Sublime. The Com did not look as familiar as “The Y-Shop” did. I wonder if it is recently refurbished, or maybe the whole building is new, replacing the good old Com? I really could not make up my mind.  We walked past the building that used to be “The Print-shop”. Maybe that is still what it is used for today. I don’t know. I clearly remember having the intention of taking a picture of it, but now I can’t find it now. Sorry! We were approached by a guard about here. Maybe I got distracted and forgot to take the picture in the end. But, I did get a picture of what used to be the house of Leo Lance. It is still sitting on the corner of the road junction, like it did before. Next to it is the house I believe was the Ramsdale house. The house is modified to such an extent it made me unsure! What used to be unused space underneath the house floor is now made to a type of cellar where people obviously live. I included a 120 degree swipe of Ramsdale house on the left, Lance house in the middle, and on the far right the road that goes down towards the carpenter-shop. This picture is taken with my back to the lake.
Down to the carpenter-shop.  We then took the road between Lance house and print-shop, down past the carpenter-shop.  Walking this direction, the carpenter-shop ends up being on the right.  Good old carpenter shop looked on the outside much like I remembered it. We did not look inside. We then crossed the main road and walked up straight towards the Auditorium.

The Com, Print-shop, Carpenter-

OK… So you are looking at my web page using a mobile device?   Well, that is perfectly fine. BUT, my intentions with this web site was to share what I saw through pictures. Click-able pictures and icons that open up large pictures. So with your tiny little thing, you are really not going to see nothing! Sorry! Please fire up your home / office computer, and visit my page again.  It will be very different. Below, as a teaser, I show some of the pictures that you can see in “real size” on the desktop version.  TNX’s
